What is Yama Yoga?

Yama Yoga is a community-centered studio in Ypsilanti, Michigan, rooted in mindfulness, movement, and modern wellness. Inspired by the first limb of yoga — Yamas, or ethical principles — we bring awareness, compassion, and balance both on and off the mat. Whether you’re new to yoga or deep in your practice, Yama Yoga is your space to breathe, move, and reconnect.

Yama Yoga is a dream brought to life by the owner, who is passionate about creating a space where everyone feels at home. We’re thrilled to be opening our new studio in Ypsilanti and can’t wait to share more details soon.

Our goal at Yama Yoga is to offer a sense of community and belonging to anyone who walks through our doors. Yoga here is about more than just movement — it’s about connection, mindfulness, and finding balance in both body and mind.
